This comprehensive workshop is for medical practitioners, GP obstetricians, midwives and other health professionals seeking additional skills, knowledge and experience in caring for the newborn who requires resuscitative support at birth.

Advanced Resuscitation comprises a theoretical (web based) learning component and a practical (skills based) training program.  This program comprises all components of the First Response Progrram, plus additional theory, advanced newborn resuscitation skills and advanced scenarios.

The theoretical component is a self paced learning program which is entirely web based.  It consists of two online learning modules which must be completed prior to attending the Advanced Resuscitation practical training program.

Eligibility: Paediatricians, GP obstetricians, medical practitioners and midwives.  Priority is given to those working in the local region.

Length: 8:00am-4:30pm

Cost:
Midwives/Nurses – $240 (including GST)
Doctors – $360 (including GST)

Accreditation: This workshop has accreditation with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) for continuing professional development points/hours for the 2023-2025 triennium.

This Rural Health West education workshop is proudly run in partnership with WA Country Health Service.

Payment structure

You will receive an email link for payment in an event confirmation email. Payment is required within 10 days of receiving the email. If full payment is not received within 10 days, your place will be offered to another delegate.

Cancellation policy

  • Applicants who give notice of cancellation of four (4) weeks or more will receive a full refund of the workshop registration fee.
  • Applicants who withdraw from the workshop between 4 weeks  and 14 days prior will receive a 50% refund of the workshop registration fee.
  • Applicants who fail to attend the workshop or who withdraw from the workshop less than 14 days of the workshop date are not eligible for a refund.
