During 2024–2025, Rural Health West strengthened its engagement with the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) sector through two key forums.

At the ACCHO CEO Network Meeting in February, Rural Health West presented on our end-to-end workforce support – from recruitment and placement through to long-term workforce planning. We shared data and insights from our workforce analysis, sparking important conversations about where and how we can support the sector.

In June 2025, we joined the full-day WA ACCHS GP Workforce Workshop, a collaborative forum designed to unpack shared workforce challenges and explore solutions. Rural Health West contributed data insights, participated in strategic discussions, and listened deeply to the priorities and pressures faced by the sector.

We’re grateful to the ACCHO sector for their openness and leadership. Rural Health West remains committed to partnering with AHCWA and ACCHOs to co-design sustainable, community-led workforce solutions across rural and remote WA.
