Conference sponsorships
Attending a conference or event for professional development?
Rural Health West may be able to offer you a sponsorship.
Rural Health West provides sponsorships for medical, nursing, midwifery, dental and allied health students to attend conferences and professional development related to rural practice.
Attending conferences and upskilling workshops provide an important opportunity for students to gain relevant skills and insight into rural health careers and provide an opportunity to develop relationships and networks.
We appreciate that accessing these activities can be challenging due to the costs associated with registration, travel and accommodation. To support the professional development of medical, nursing, midwifery, dental and allied health students from Western Australian universities, Rural Health West is able to offer a limited number of conference sponsorships. Sponsorship is subject to funding availability.
Eligibility
- Medical, nursing, midwifery, dental and allied health students studying at a Western Australian university.
- Applications will not be accepted for retrospective conferences/events.
Please note
- Sponsorship is subject to funding availability.
- Successful applications are required to provide a 300-word summary and three photos outlining their sponsorship experiences to be used to promote the program to prospective students.
These sponsorships assist students to gain more insight into rural health careers, develop additional knowledge and skills, and provide an opportunity for them to develop collegiate relationships with future colleagues and employers.
