Morning Minds Peer-Led Education Series – Chronic Kidney Disease & Renal Replacement Therapy in the Kimberley with Dr Dean McKitrick

Dean is a GP working with the Kimberley Renal Services team covering the Derby and Fitzroy Valley Catchment area. Dean has worked and trained in the Kimberley Region since 2019 starting off as a Resident and Registrar at Broome Hospital, completing his GP training with Kimberley Medical Group and also the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Remote Clinics.

He is now a fellowed GP with extended skills in Emergency Medicine working as a Renal GP for KRS and alongside the RPH Nephrology Teams. His current role includes outreach clinics for patients with all stages of Chronic Kidney Disease.

Rural Emergency Advanced Clinical Training (REACT+) | Esperance

The Rural Health West CPD REACT+ workshop is designed to assist Western Australian Visiting Medical Practitioners to maintain their emergency knowledge and skills, and gain formal assessment towards their emergency credentialing, as required by WA Country Health Service. Covering medical emergencies, major trauma and cardiac arrest in adults and children, and associated lifesaving procedural skills training, REACT+ is a highly interactive workshop. Participants are provided with audio-visual pre-learning materials and the course consists almost entirely of small group practical skills stations and simulated scenarios.
