This year’s event is cohosted by the Goldfields Health Professionals Network, Curtin’s Goldfields University Department of Rural Health and the WA Primary Health Alliance, coming together to help strengthen connections across our regional health sector.

Kimberley Health Professionals Network | Morning Minds | An Introduction to Orthodontics | Broome

This session will explore the role of orthodontic intervention as an important component of primary care, including the risks associated with untreated dental issues, impacts on speech, and appropriate referral pathways. Presented by Dr Gavin Brown, Specialist Orthodontic Practitioner with over 22 years working experience in specialist Oral and Maxillofacial departments in hospitals in the UK, Canada, Ireland and Australia. With extensive experience teaching at both undergraduate and post-graduate level, Dr Brown also specalises in treating patients with dental anxiety problems, medical problems and patients with special needs.
