This education workshop is proudly delivered by Rural Health West in partnership with WA Country Health Service.

All medical practitioners may be called upon to manage life-threatening emergency situations causing acute airway or respiratory compromise. The Critical Airway and Respiratory Management (CARM) course provides an opportunity to upskill essential knowledge, skills and decision-making in the areas of emergency airway management and acute respiratory conditions and complications.

The CARM course uses an interactive format with varied teaching methods concentrating on short didactic presentations, small group discussion of case scenarios and practical skills workshops. The faculty consists of emergency physicians with extensive clinical experience in managing patients with critical illness.

Participants are encouraged to share their own clinical experiences to enhance the relevance of their learning.
