Community Education – Concussion

Concussion can happen to anyone. It’s important to know how to recognise, manage, and respond to it.

Join local, Dr Allie Gledhill, Chiropractor and Head Trainer for the Moora Mavericks, and Dr Gill Cowen, GP and Sports Doctor, to learn how to spot the signs of concussion, manage recovery safely and effectively, and access the right tools and resources when you need them.

Free evening event, open to everyone – parents, educators, coaches, sporting club members, volunteers, aged care and support workers, school administrators, and students aged 15+ (with a supervising adult).

Wheatbelt Health Professionals Network | Melanoma Diagnosis: Dermoscopy, Total Body Photography, Serial Imaging, and Confocal Microscopy | Northam

This event will discuss how dermoscopy improves diagnostic accuracy and reduces unnecessary excisions compared with clinical examination alone. Modern melanoma diagnosis extends beyond single-lesion assessment. Total body photography and sequential digital dermoscopy monitoring allow us to detect new and subtly changing lesions over time – catching melanomas earlier while leaving stable, benign lesions untouched. The combination of these tools increases sensitivity and specificity and are cost-effective in high-risk patients.
