All Midwest community members are invited to a free information evening to gain a deeper understanding of concussion and the impact it has on both individuals and community.

Who is the evening relevant to?

  • Sporting clubs – players, coaches, managers, first aiders and parents as well as league officials
  • Recreation associations – members and committees
  • Education providers – teachers, first aid providers, admin staff, parents.
  • Volunteers – emergency service volunteers
  • Aged care providers and other community members who wish to increase their knowledge of and response to concussion

Join Dr Gill Cowen, GP and Sports Doctor and local Physiotherapist Natalie Marwick for the practicalities of:

  • The who, what and why of concussion
  • How to manage concussions in a timely and appropriate manner, and
  • What individuals and the community can do to minimise future incidents, both on and off the sporting field/court/arena

This education event will discuss the occurrence of concussion in sports as well as those resulting from falls, road traffic incidents and physical assaults.

Attendance is free, but registrations are essential.
