Join the Kimberley Health Professionals Network (KHPN) and Alexis Michelides, Specialist Essity Consultant, for a day of practical, hands-on learning designed to build your skills and confidence in splinting and casting.
Whether you work in an emergency department, hospital, general practice or remote clinic, these small-group workshops offer the opportunity to learn, practise and refine techniques you can take straight back into your clinical setting.
9.30am–11.30am | Dynacast Prelude Splinting Workshop
Get hands-on with some of the most commonly used splinting techniques in this practical two-hour workshop.
Participants will learn and practise the application of:
- Thumb Spica splints
- Ulnar Gutter splints
- Radial Gutter splints
Ideal for doctors, occupational therapists, nurses, remote clinic nurses and other health professionals looking to strengthen their practical splinting skills and confidence.
1.00pm–3.30pm | Delta-Cast Full Circumferential Casting Workshop
Develop your skills and confidence in full circumferential casting through guided instruction and plenty of hands-on practice.
The workshop will cover:
- Key principles of effective casting
- Padding techniques
- Appropriate material selection
- Practical casting applications and techniques
Designed for doctors, clinical nurse specialists and GPs, this workshop provides practical skills that can be applied across a range of clinical settings, including rural and remote practice.
Places are strictly limited per workshop, allowing plenty of opportunity for hands-on learning and guidance.
