This educational workshop has been developed in response to strong demand from clinicians across the region. It will provide health professionals with current, evidence-based insights into
menopause and women’s health. Designed as a clinically focused evening, the session aims to deepen participants’ understanding through evidence-based updates and practical applications in primary care.

This session will include:
• Dr Kylie Hodge – An in-depth clinical overview on the diagnosis and management of perimenopause and menopause, including the new Medicare item for menopause health assessments and how it can be incorporated into routine practice.
• Noni Osland (WA Cervical Cancer Prevention Program) – A cervical screening update, including current guidelines and best practice in primary care.
• Bo Youn Kim (Pharmacist speaker – Empower her menopause) – A review of available pharmacological therapies for menopause, including hormonal options (oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone), non-hormonal alternatives, and safety considerations.

Wheatbelt Health Professionals Network | Melanoma Diagnosis: Dermoscopy, Total Body Photography, Serial Imaging, and Confocal Microscopy | Northam

This event will discuss how dermoscopy improves diagnostic accuracy and reduces unnecessary excisions compared with clinical examination alone. Modern melanoma diagnosis extends beyond single-lesion assessment. Total body photography and sequential digital dermoscopy monitoring allow us to detect new and subtly changing lesions over time – catching melanomas earlier while leaving stable, benign lesions untouched. The combination of these tools increases sensitivity and specificity and are cost-effective in high-risk patients.
