This education workshop is proudly delivered by Rural Health West in partnership with WA Country Health Service.

The Rural Health West CPD workshop is designed to assist Western Australian Visiting Medical Practitioners to maintain their emergency knowledge and skills, and gain formal assessment towards their emergency credentialing, as required by WA Country Health Service. Covering medical emergencies, major trauma and cardiac arrest in adults and children, and associated lifesaving procedural skills training, REACT+ is a highly interactive workshop. Participants are provided with audio-visual pre-learning materials and the course consists almost entirely of small group practical skills stations and simulated scenarios.

Eligibility: All medical practitioners are welcome to register, with priority given to currently practising rural and remote medical practitioners.
Length: Two days – 8.00am-5.00pm.
Cost: $2,500

Accreditation:
16 Educational Activity and 7 Reviewing Performance hours with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
12.75 Educational Activity, 11.83 Performance Review. 6 Anaesthetics (Practice Evaluation) and 6 Emergency Medicine MOPS hours with Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
This workshop is eligible for the Rural Procedural Grants Program, Anaesthetics and Emergency Medicine components. Please contact your college for eligibility prior to attending the course. 
22.5 ACEM CPD hours.

Payment structure
You will receive an email link for payment in an event confirmation email 6-8 weeks prior to the workshop, if successful. Payment is required within 10 days of receiving the email. If full payment is not received within 10 days, your place will be offered to another delegate.

Cancellation policy

  • Applicants who give notice of cancellation of four (4) weeks or more will receive a full refund of the workshop registration fee.
  • Applicants who withdraw from the workshop on or 14 days prior will receive a 50% refund of the workshop registration fee.
  • Applicants who fail to attend the workshop or who withdraw from the workshop less than 14 days of the workshop date are not eligible for a refund.
