Registrations are now open for the inaugural WA Aboriginal Eye Health Forum 2024, an one-day education and upskilling event developed for health professionals with an interest in improving Aboriginal eye health outcomes.   The Forum will be an opportunity to enhance your skills, network with peers, and contribute to improving Aboriginal eye health outcomes across Western Australia.

Date: Tuesday 18 June 2024
Time: 8.30am – 5.00pm, followed by a complimentary Networking Sundowner
Venue: The Esplanade Hotel by Rydges, Fremantle

Hosted in collaboration with the WA Aboriginal Eye Health Advisory Group and supported by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, this Forum aims to provide delegates with the opportunity to:

  • Establish stakeholder connections to strengthen planning, coordination, and delivery of Aboriginal eye health and related chronic disease management services.
  • Identify effective workforce and training models, aligning resources with health priorities for holistic care approaches.
  • Learn from leading researchers supporting First Nations eye health.
  • Participate in hands-on interactive workshops focused on sustainable, evidence-based eye health services and patient journey along the eye care pathway.
  • Engage and network with other health professionals and providers dedicated to improving Aboriginal eye health outcomes nationwide and statewide.

Cancellation policy

If forum registration is cancelled on or before Monday 20 May 2024, a full refund is given. If forum registration is cancelled between Tuesday 21 May 2024 and Monday 3 June 2024 a refund of 50 per cent is given. Refunds will not be issued for any registrations cancelled on or after Tuesday 4 June 2024.
