Rural Health West aims to improve access to quality healthcare for rural communities through the provision of a highly skilled, motivated and sustainable medical, nursing, midwifery, dental and allied health workforce. We are a not-for-profit organisation primarily funded through WA Country Health Service and the Australian Government Department of Health.

What we offer

  • This role is ongoing and part time (0.6 FTE).
  • The role offers a flexible location within the Midwest Gascoyne region.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to join our team. The role involves working with regional health professionals and organisations to build strong networks, collaborate on projects and coordinate the delivery of medical education events with community partners.

In this role you will coordinate the Health Professionals Network (HPN):

  • Coordinate professional development activities and events requested by the Midwest-Gascoyne HPN Steering Committee, including social networking events, educational dinners, workshops and forums for regional health professionals.
  • Increase membership of the network through promotion and consultation with regional health professionals.
  • Maintain the MWGHPN website and social media platforms to ensure content and data is relevant at all times.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders within the region and across the organisation.
  • Participate in Rural Health West forums and conference events.

Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in project and event coordination.
  • Well-developed organisational skills.
  • Strong administration skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously without supervision and constant interaction.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional networks and stakeholder relationships within the Midwest Gascoyne Region.

GP Workforce Consultant

Rural Health West is recruiting a GP Workforce Consultant to coordinate GP recruitment and placement programs, including case management, vacancy management, and stakeholder engagement.

This is a permanent, ongoing full-time role based in Nedlands, with hybrid work options available.

  • Ideally an understanding of rural and remote health care service issues in WA
  • Willingness to contribute to a positive workplace culture
  • Valid Australian work visa or eligibility to work in Australia
