Education Session: Chronic Wet Cough Awareness Session

The Pilbara Health Professionals Network (PHPN), in partnership with LungSmart WA, is proud to deliver this important education session focused on Chronic Wet Cough (CWC). This session aims to increase awareness and improve early identification and management of respiratory illness – particularly in Aboriginal children living in regional Western Australia – helping to reduce the risk of long-term conditions such as bronchiectasis.

Key learning outcomes:
– Increased awareness of respiratory infection prevalence and treatment pathways, supporting
more timely diagnosis and management
– Improved understanding of Chronic Wet Cough (CWC), often the only symptom of Protracted
Bacterial Bronchitis (PBB)
– Enhanced knowledge of lung health resources, education, and online training opportunities

With extensive experience teaching at both undergraduate and post-graduate level, Dr Brown also specalises in treating patients with dental anxiety problems, medical problems and patients with special needs.
