Presenter – Ash Michael – Recovery Co-ordinator and Counsellor, Road Trauma WA

Ash has a background in psychology and counselling and works alongside individuals, communities and organisations affected by road trauma. In this session, we explore how post-crash support fits into your patient care, especially for those managing grief, trauma or other mental health impacts following a road incident. You’ll walk away with a better understanding of how road trauma affects individuals, families and communities; clear knowledge of RTSWA’s free, statewide trauma-informed support and counselling; practical steps and confidence in organising third-party referrals to RTSWA; and an RTSWA referral and information pack to support you in your role.
