Join us in one of Australia’s greatest and most spectacular landscapes – the truly magnificent Karijini National Park.

By day be spellbound by the contrasting Pilbara blue skies against the classic red rock formations, as you wind your way through gorges to undertake emergency medical scenarios.  At night, socialise under a canopy of stars with fellow participants and family members.

This opportunity to experience the remote, beautiful, rugged, and incredibly fascinating Karijini National Park is one not to be missed.

About the event

The Rural and Remote Retrieval Weekend provides participants with the opportunity to learn about the management of medical emergencies in a remote environment with limitations in equipment, personnel and resources.

  • Participants learn in a supportive environment that encourages a relevant, practical and self-directed approach to learning.
  • Participants develop their practical skills and professional abilities such as teaching, teamwork, leadership and dealing with stress and uncertainty.
  • Participants have the opportunity to network with colleagues in a unique setting.

For more information, you can visit the event website here.

Important information:

Due to a change in funding arrangements the structure of the Family Program at the Rural and Remote Retrieval Weekend has changed. All accompanying others will require their own transport in Karijini National Park – this is essential!
If you have an accompanying other that would like to join you please email [email protected] for further information.
