The WA Rural Health Excellence Awards, to be held on 16 March 2024 at the Pan Pacific Perth Golden Ballroom, recognise and acknowledge health professionals who have dedicated their careers to caring for rural communities, and celebrate the achievements of health professionals who have enhanced the range and quality of healthcare available in Western Australian rural locations. Having access to quality healthcare is extremely important for rural communities and these awards are an opportunity to shine the spotlight on health professionals who have contributed to rural health in Western Australia (WA).

  • Allied Health Professional of the Year
  • Clinical Leader of the Year
  • Community Health Professional of the Year
  • GP of the Year
  • Health Team of the Year
  • Nurse or Midwife of the Year
  • Specialist (Non-GP) of the Year
  • Young Professional of the Year

Award finalists

Finalists will be invited to attend the WA Rural Health Excellence Award Gala Dinner and will receive:

  • Two complimentary tickets to the event
  • One night’s accommodation
  • Travel support (flights or fuel reimbursements from home town)

Important dates

  • Nominations open Monday 3 July 2023.
  • Nominations close Monday 4 September 2023.
  • Finalists will be advised October 2023.
  • Winners will be announced and presented with awards at the WA Rural Health Excellence Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday 16 March 2024 at Pan Pacific Perth.
