About the role and general practice
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a general practitioner (GP) looking to establish and grow their business at the Narembeen Medical Centre.
The Shire-owned Narembeen Medical centre is a modern facility comprising five consultation rooms, a pathology room and kitchen. The opportunity includes up-to-date equipment and IT systems to enable transition to a new operator.
The current GP, who has served the community well for a period of 21 years, has elected to transition to retirement but may remain available locally to support the successful candidate.
The package
The Shire of Narembeen is seeking expressions of interest for a GP to operate from the Narembeen Medical Centre and to provide emergency call outs to the Narembeen Hospital as required.
The package includes the use of the Narembeen Medical Centre, including outgoings and maintenance, provision of IT equipment, use of a well located four-bedroom house (including gardening services) and provision of a vehicle.

Narembeen is a vibrant and welcoming town which is well known for its generosity and community spirit. It is in the heart of the Wheatbelt region, 286 kilometres east of Perth, Western Australia.
The town has evolved from its traditional rural history and today plays a key role within the Wheatbelt in cereal cropping, cattle and sheep production, agricultural innovation and mining, as well as support from industries such as engineering, auto works and tourism.
The Shire of Narembeen is home to 787 residents and is well serviced with a highly regarded district high school, hospital, and chemist. The town represents the perfect opportunity for an aspiring GP to establish a successful business.
