A country practice

Are you a qualified general practitioner able to run a practice unsupervised?

About the Role and General Practice

This is an opportunity for you to practise in the town of Norseman situated in the Shire of Dundas. You can either have the security of a guaranteed salary plus a share of the profits of a busy general practice, or if you prefer, take on the business as your own.

If you are ready for this exciting opportunity, you will be a part of a close-knit community rich with environmental, cultural and mining heritage.

About the Package

The Shire of Dundas is committed to ensuring the community has access to quality medical services. The Council has resolved to establish a new medical practice and is seeking applications from suitably qualified medical professionals. This is an opportunity to revitalise medical services throughout the Shire of Dundas. Should the successful candidate prefer the position as an employee of the Shire of Dundas, the Shire will provide all facilities, equipment and support services, including reception support.

There may be an additional opportunity for an agreement with the WA Country Health Service that requires a suitably qualified medical practitioner to support the local hospital.

While the Shire is willing to engage a GP on an employment basis, they are equally open to discussions about other operating models, such as a practice contract or private business.

The Shire believes the earning potential will be significant and grow over time. In the first instance, the package on offer is circa $360k per annum or 65% of billings, whichever is greater, inclusive of housing and motor vehicle.
