About the role and general practice

The Gnowangerup Shire Medical Practice, with its long-established history and excellent management, presents an inviting prospect for GPs looking to establish or expand their practice. As the current provider prepares to leave after 13 years of service, this is the perfect time for new providers to step in and provide essential healthcare services to the community.

The practice currently operates from Monday to Friday out of modern premises in the town of Gnowangerup, and is staffed with an experienced receptionist and practice nurse who may be amenable to continuing in their respective roles with a change in providers. The practice building is owned by the Shire of Gnowangerup as is some equipment, IT infrastructure and fit out.

The Gnowangerup District Hospital provides a 24-hour service. WA Country Health Service credentials are required for GPs to provide services to the hospital. The current GP has been granted clinical privileges (visiting rights) to the hospital. Additional GP services are provided to
Mallee Springs, an 8-bed residential aged care service located within the hospital.
